I have corn stalks from god knows where all over my yard.The leaves that blew from my yard into my neighbors yard this winter have all returned.

Drove to grocery, in the couple blocks o my hood I counted 18 tipped over garbage bins.

If you traveled across northern Iowa today... chances are you saw some of this. Nasty. Can easily lead to accidents.

Yep, it's just kind of weird to think about. Like there was no in between rainy season/fall.
Either just frozen dry tundra or the snow two weeks ago.
Few years ago just south of Springfield IL on 55 this caused a massive pile up with many casualties. 6 dead. 3 dozen hurt. It was also timed with spring farm work so that made it even worse.

Friday afternoon was a busy ass day in Marshall and Tama counties as we had multiple fires on going at the same time. thankfully most of them all remained small/manageable. our page out took a few hours to dig through piles to make sure it was out though.
I really hope the general region gets good rains this week.
While you guys going outside are all going to die Monday - Wednesday I have a first world weather related issue to solve. My ancient little weather station won't connect to the remote sensor anymore. Any simple room temperature monitors with multiple stations you could recommend? Never used the remote sensor on the old one for outside, the wire mesh under my stucco and the heavy plaster in the old portion of the house pretty much killed the sensor range.
And, not looking for a full weather station thingie, just a thermometer center with three or four "rooms".
Maybe something like one of these?

So my weather app says a high of 60 today for central Iowa with blizzard conditions possible for Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
