Brown probably saved himself from a trip to Iowa today. Hope he takes a step in the right direction now otherwise following up this outing with a bad one will put his spot in the rotation back up for discussion again.
So do they have him wait until the 2nd inning next start?

Hopefully this is a turning point. Having two power arms in the rotation gives us a nice mix. Rea can be a nice swing man when Shota returns.

The other bonus of Brown being effective in the rotation frees up at least $15 mil that can go towards resigning Tucker. This is the reason everyone should want him in the rotation. Further we can add a rental at the deadline instead of a costly multi year guy to fill Steele’s slot.

Good series victory. Day off tomorrow before a tough 9 game road stretch. Nationals have been playing good ball of late and then Detroit & Philadelphia. Also Tuesday starts a stretch of I believe 26 games in 27 days.

As a lefty if I jammed a finger I’d want it to be on my right hand.

Turns out it’s his ring finger. To me that affects hitting (initial pull to generate bat speed) more than throwing

So if Tucker misses a couple days what do you think the lineup looks like? Might not be the best for him but it may be best for the team to move PCA up to two then Busch at four. Pete was 3/4 today

They probably put Suzuki in RF and DH Turner. I forgot that Brujan was still on the team, he hasn't played since 5/20. Unlike last year, Counsell has been pretty consistent with his lineups and there has not been a lot of mix and matching going on other than at C and 1B. Berti has only seen action once since 5/20 too. Turner has been the only bench player getting any kind of platoon work since Shaw has been back.

It’s massive that he’s come in and held down third. Now you can focus all your trade pieces on pitching.
Agreed. After his 1st stint I thought 3B was a need the at the trade deadline. Starting pitching is going to be what takes this team to the finish line. Spending prospect capital on top end starting pitching even someone that is more than a rental would be ideal.

When he starts turning on pitches more I think he’s an 800+ OPS somewhere along the lines of 250/350/450 guy
