Raining hard again in the Madison area.

we were so literally on the edge I could see it black to the south, got some sprinkles and a rainbow out of it but not much for rain. The storm the morning before though took down a number of branches in the neighborhood. I was surprised it wasn't severe warned. It woke me and I watched the trees for a while (530am) and it looked dicey.

First you must survive the 4 weeks of asian lady beetle invasion with alternating temps of 85 and 55. Otherwise known as pumpkin spice season.
Don't forget crazy aggressive honey bees after any and all food or drink with any kind of fragrance. Don't take a sip from that can or bottle without looking first!

Going to be interesting to see where things develop. I've been watching forecasts and apps and seen everything from nothing in DM to a pretty decent cell passing through around 6pm

I'm going to be so pissed if I lose power tonight while playing NCAA 25
Power is going out in Ankeny already, but it's not storm related. Folks who participate in Mid American's energy savings program are having their AC turned off periodically between 2-5pm today.

I forgot I signed up for that - just cancelled - it's 76 upstairs where my pregnant wife's office is. Less than ideal.
