School district is "proactively" sending at home learning stuff with kids today. Said no closure decision made yet but I'm betting it's on the way. Daycare also sending a fear mongering message that's basically trying to get us to say we'll keep the toddler home. My dudes, you underestimate my desire to utilize the expensive childcare I pay for so I can "work" unencumbered.

Screw that crap. Play hardball and negotiate a free week of daycare if you keep your child home tomorrow.

Literally no snow coming down now in dsm. Not sure how we get to the 9 inch prediction here unless winter hell unleashed overnight.

I pull up weather.gov for ankeny and it shows about 7 inches still to come between now and noon tomorrow, with another inch in the afternoon

Just got home (Newton) from WDM. Wasn't a bad drive. Interstate wasn't bad at all, town roads and county roads were ****. But not as much snow on the ground yet as I expected there to be.

Weather Underground, which is always been the best weather app in my opinion, has been dropping totals all day.

WHO has by far the best weather department, so I always trust what they say.
