***Official 2023 Weather Thread***

Streets were slick enough in Ames leaving WBB about 9pm Wed nite. Interstate was pretty good but the plows were busy keeping it clear.

14+ inches here near MSP. It’s not fun.
We live in Otsego. We had about 10-12" on the ground before the additional 15" this week. Some of the neighbor's snow piles are taller than the roof of their car.

I took this photo yesterday morning. That's the snowfall we received between 6:30 pm Tuesday and 11:30 am Wednesday. My husband cleared the drive again last night. Another 1.5" covering it this morning. Thank goodness for snow blowers!!

Made the big board!

Also noted that I've only missed out on 4 of the Top 15.

I got to experience #1 and have fond memories!
  1. Twins beat Braves in 7.
  2. 28" of Snow- day off work
  3. Kids trick or treating & the snow cleared along sidewalks was higher than the young ones.
Best thing was I was renting house at time and didn't have to clear any snow!!

The early and mid 80's had some serious winters. I remember well even in Iowa.

With the west coast now drowning and the drought officially over, maybe the midwest can lucky and get some of that this spring and summer.

Who told you the drought is over on the west coast?

Yeah just because they are getting blasted now for a few weeks... does not mean they broke a decade+ long drought.
