Probably just want to give Bellinger (legs) a bit of a rest.Bellinger DH and Wisdom at 1BWhat a goof.
Am I missing a reason to do that?

I'm sure it's rest. Going to need him the next 3 nights.Bellinger DH and Wisdom at 1BWhat a goof.

Madrigal is sitting and is well rested. Not sure how you justify putting a liability at 1st that's hitting under .200.It's a Sunday so Cubs usually lose on Sundays for some reason and with Wisdom in the lineup and 1B that sure doesn't help the odds either. Hoping Mervis is up soon so there is another option at 1B so they don't have to use Wisdom.
Sadly I'm hoping for a 3 or 4 K day and a blunder with his glove to make a case to be done with him. Been saying it since last year, Wisdom does not belong on a MLB roster for a team in playoff contention. When they DFA Hosmer Mancini and Barnhart was hoping he'd at the very least be sent to Iowa by now.Madrigal is sitting and is well rested. I don't buy the reasoning that guys need rest when the Braves have guys that have played every game or nearly every game this season and Ross plays musical chairs with his lineup all the time that these guys get regular rest. We're in the middle of a push to win the division he needs to play his best guys as much as possible regardless of who is on the mound. Wisdom especially is a wasted spot as he is a huge drop off from Bellinger Candelario and even Madrigal. Between those 3 even if you need to rest 1 there are better options than Wisdom to fill a spot in the lineup. Hoping if they bring up PCA Canario and Mervis he either goes to Iowa or DFA and we don't see him the rest of the season.
September call ups are still a thing, aren’t they?Sadly I'm hoping for a 3 or 4 K day and a blunder with his glove to make a case to be done with him. Only get 2. 26 to 28.September call ups are still a thing, aren’t they?
I have no issue with Belli DHing and just getting a break from the field.
I do have an issue that we traded for Candelario and publically said we got him to be our primary first basemen, yet have Wisdom (our primary 3B all year) play first base against lefties and Candelario play 3B.
In my opinion, this makes zero sense unless Candelario told the FO he will only focus on a place that will let him play 3B during free agency and they want to see if he's worth it there next year.
Yep, as someone else said, only go from 26 to 28 as minor leagues are playing through September now.September call ups are still a thing, aren’t they?
Cubs doing everything they have to. Need to cool Milwaukee down.
The Brewers are one of the luckiest teams in baseball. Their performance to date doesn’t justify their win/loss totals. (They’ve barely scored more runs than they’ve given up.) I understand your optimism as a fan, but being on the hot streak they are on, they’re play to date, the Cubs’ strong offense, and the fact the series is in Chicago…I don’t think the odds will be on the Brewers to win 2/3.Unless Council shuffles the order, you will see Miley, Burnes and Woodruff. As a Brewer fan I like our chances of getting 2/3.
Anything can happen......and our set up pitchers are the weak link right now. I can also see him moving up the rotation one start and have Burnes, Woodruff and Peralta in this 3 game series. I doubt it......but this is just as important to the Brewers as the Cubs. Should be fun.
