***Official 2023 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Best part of that win for me was that it cashed the Cubs over 77.5 wins ticket. Cha-Ching! :)
I have 78.5 but I don’t foresee us going 0-17 to end the rest year so I should be good. I have a fun little ticket on Cubs to win the central at +550 from before the season so if the damn Brewers could lose a game or two that’d be nice

Would guess with a RHP on the mound today we see PCA in the lineup. Alzolay to the IL sucks, hopefully is just a minimum stay and he's ready to go.

And a really bad righty to boot. Hopefully we can get another QS from Assad then Wesneski can mop up the final 2 or 3.

Be interesting to see who DHs if PCA is in center. Tauchman or Morel. That. bomb yesterday was against a lefty. Be very beneficial if Christopher is ready to go on another tear.

I know a lot of guys do this now but Suzuki has been thrown out twice this week sliding feet first reaching for the bag/plate with his hand when his foot directly to the bag would of been safe. I think there's still too much confusion on avoiding contact/blocking the plate.

Gonna need some help from the Cardinals. Have two series left with the Brewers.

You could see him about 2/3rds of the way down the line start thinking about what he was going to do. He slowed for a very brief second and the slide was bad. With the blocking rules it should make things easier for the runner, so I'm not sure why the indecision.
