I farm in the top tier of counties but live in the county below. Farm got 2 inches. Home received a few flakes.

Is travel going to be an issue in the morning? I’m supposed to be driving two hours south from Ames.
It’s the first snowfall of the year. There will be plenty of morons on the road early in the morning on likely slick streets.
Don't worry, I heard in a thread here that all the hybrid drivers got sweet new snow tires and are ready for anything....
I'm no expert but this is supposed to be a fairly slow moving snow event with temps hovering around 30 degrees. I'd think this will be a piece of cake for the snow crews to handle.
Correct answer. The first thing I do when I hear about snow is check the temps for the following days, if it’s gonna melt I don’t even bother (beside the sidewalk)Wait for it to melt
