Today is my birthday. We're hosting Christmas for my wife's family tonight so that's one strike against me. Now having to go out in negative temps and clear the driveway in these wind chills at least twice today is two more. Might be the worst birthday I've had since I had the stomach flu when I turned 8. At least I got a set of Transformers then.

(I should add, it's not that my wife's family is all that bad - usual family annoyances but no big deal. But it's stressful and a lot of work. Throw in the weather and...ugh.)
Consider your snow shoveling some 1 on 1 time with nature (it just happens to be very cold), whilst considering your BD and marriage vows. :)

I thought so but Buffalo nws showing 30 hrs of blizzard conditions including 70mph winds
Didn't they just get about 60 inches of snow 2 weeks ago? They had to move the Bills game to Minneapolis Detroit?

Ah, must be fun to live in Buffalo!

Supposed to drive from Des Moines to Mason City this afternoon. Iowa 511 has the interstate as partially covered and haven't seen any major issues on I35 going north. Plan to caravan with another car and go slow. HWY 65 looks a little worse according to 511, but I think that is a little more protected from the wind.
