***Official 2022 Transfer Thread***

Pokes losing a role player... is from Nebraska and had solid offer list.

"Williams was rated as a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class by 247Sports, coming out of Lincoln (Neb.) North Star. The former Mr. Basketball of Nebraska ranked as the No. 36 shooting guard and No. 2 in-state prospect in the class. Williams signed with Oklahoma State over additional offers from Kansas State, Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M and others."
He isn't very good.

What's the Tom Hardy line from Inception? "You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger darling." Not to insult these smaller conference players, but I think TJ and staff will be going big-game hunting this offseason to try to find some big time scorers and a more versatile 5-man.

I want Nijel Pack when Weber gets canned.

Pack would be a pass for me. He is a smallish guard who doesn't play a lot of defense. He checks one box for us in that he is a scorer and shooter. But I don't think you compromise the foundation of the program in year 2

Does anyone know if Iowa State is seriously in the mix for James Graham III?
he listed ISU as a team recruiting him but i question the seriousness of ISU's pursuit given the talent that will come onto the market here in the coming months. Graham was highly ranked out of HS, sure, but he did next to nothing on the court at Maryland and was suspended for undisclosed reasons. ISU can, and should, target more sure fire prospects, IMO

I agree. Just not convinced Iowa State is a serious player. Graham has a much lower floor than many other transfers in the portal.

I know its been mentioned on this board that JUCO basketball doesn't produce as many effective players as it used to, but watching the SDSU Jackrabbitts, what's wrong with getting a 6'7" bruiser like Doug Wilson out of none other than Des Moines (by way of Kirkwood). I don't mean as a transfer, I just mean a guy 'like him' to give us some strength in the low post. He impresses me. A wide body 6'7' that's athletic would seem to be better than a 6'10" who isn't athletic.

Well if they do, you would think TJ would know about them. After all, he got a player from there when at Washington, a guy that ISU wanted.
You would think. But D-Rob is an alum of there and they never went after it hard in the Prohm era so who knows.
