Probably 2 spots minimum open for the 2022/23 season. Regales of who leaves. This team has two major deficiencies.

We need more 3 point shooting and we need more scoring at guard.

Playing next to Hunter, the success of IB and Otz not having a rebuilding year are going to be strong selling points for the staff in the spring portal season.

I have some pretty high hopes!

From the comments of Graham III that he was being sold on the staff looking to add multiple scorers I think we see more than 2 transfer additions. That indicates to me TJ and the staff don't appear the staff is changing their long term plan and even with this year being a NCAA tourney team that they are set with a roster for next year. They see the issues and will address them where possible.

Personally I feel Hunter and King will be set for roles. Brockington if he returns is 3 will get major minutes and lessen the need for a guard. The Staff can sell playing time to any high level transfer past that.

I think King and Kunc can make a quality 2/3 of a 4/5 3 man rotation as long as the 3rd in a true big. (6'10+ 240+)

Hauser is from Stevens Point, WI

Hauser has been interesting...seems almost as though a tad bit of a disappointment at MSU. But if there would be any interest, his shooting and frame would fit well into our offensive scheme. Not a terrible assist rate either. He wouldn't be some grand slam but his fit for our roster needs is pretty spot on.

Hauser is like a better version of Kunc

Jones is a Junior. So him King and Kunc split the 5 spot. Ideally King and Kunc play 28-30 minutes a game each and we only need Jones for 5-7 minutes a night.

I'd rather keep Conditt than Jones. I pray that only 1 of them returns though. That's a spot in need of upgrade

A front court of King, Kunc and Hauser would be AMAZING!!!

Tyrese Hunter
Javon Freeman-Liberty
Brockington
Joey Hauser
Tre King

Kunc
Grill
King
Jones/Conditt (Please only 1)
Watson
Lipsey

That's a roster capable of 25 wins and a top 4 seed-line come March 2023

2023 goal:

Des Moines for rounds 1/2
KC for the regional

Hopefully Otz can sell IB on that plus Tyrese returning and possibly being Big 12 preseason player of the year (competition being KSU's Pack)
