***Official 2021 NCAA Tournament Thread***

So who's the favorite to come out of this region if Illinois is done? I had a feeling a Big 10 region would be chaos but figured it would be Michigan's region not this one.

We've all known that since the first polls came out late last year. It's just the rest of the country is having their eyes opened up to what we already knew.

I love the stories coming out about how much of a grind the Big 10 is and that's why they're struggling.

I picked Illinois to win my bracket......but I'm okay with the hit to the Big 10's rep

That’s how I felt about OSU being my runner-up. As soon as they lost I cursed myself for knowing the Big 10 was overrated and taking them that far anyway.

It doesn't help that when mid-majors do get the respect they deserve they tend to get upset themselves in the Tournament (thinking back to 5-seeded Drake several years ago now).

Reminds me a little of VCU -- after the miracle 11-seed run to Final Four and a 12v5 upset the next season, two years later was a 5 seed and lost to 12 SFA.

Funny how the Big 12 is even more of a grind and yet our conference still managed to go 6-1 in the first round. They don’t even hide the fact the Big 12 is the second-toughest conference in their eyes.

I had just been impressed with IL the few times I'd watched them. Seemed like they had a complete team with 5 guys that can score.

Loyola is a trap matchup for anyone that gets caught sleepwalking.

Hopefully the hawks continue the B1G malaise
