***Official 2021 NCAA Tournament Thread***

It's scheduled to return to the usual Th-F-S-Sun for second weekend in '22, but I wonder if this year's altered setup might be better?

Each game gets its own slot in Sweet 16, instead of having overlapping starts. And Elite 8 games are all prime time anyway, just shifted to weekdays instead of weekend.

Wonder which way is favorable from network/viewership (that'd be the train-driver if they ever decide to change it as the standard).
I like this better.

Loyola's lowest scoring tournament game is 53 vs. Georgetown in the 1985 Sweet Sixteen.

Oregon State's lowest scoring tournament game is 30 vs. Oklahoma State in the 1949 Final Four.

Fewest points in a Sweet Sixteen game is 38 by New Mexico State vs. UCLA in 1969.

Fewest points in a Sweet Sixteen game in the shot-clock era (since 1986) is 39 by West Virginia vs. Kentucky in 2015.

Fewest combined points in a Sweet Sixteen game is 83 (St. Joseph's 42 Boston College 41) in 1981.

Fewest combined points in a Sweet Sixteen game in the shot-clock era is 100 (Michigan St 54 Oklahoma St 46) in 1999.
