If Texas Tech does not come back to win, then all of 2019 Final Four teams will be out. The last time that Sweet Sixteen had none of the previous Final Four teams was 2006.

In 2005, the Final Four was Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State and North Carolina.

In 2006, Illinois and North Carolina lost in Round of 32; Michigan State lost in Round of 64 and Louisville did not make the tournament.
