From a basketball standpoint its a great spot. UNLV is returning 2 players who combined played a little over 40mpg and neither is competition.

Sounds like a great landing spot for McCabe. Fresh start, he plays well he plays 30+mpg, MWC is a solid conference and for a 20 year old Vegas is probably a fun place to go to school.

McCabe has been a pretty big disappointment.. Probaby wants to have fun in Vegas before moving on

McCabe did seem to regress, but I don't think he was a great fit for Press Virginia. IMO his struggles to play that defensive system, caused him to lose confidence and impacted his shooting.

Put him in a Long Kruger type defense and he could be a solid get.

Cone would be a big upgrade from our previous undersized shooters. He can shoot on the move and coming off screens. No clue on other aspects of his game. This would be a take for me, but I would prefer if it came with some more attrition.

His highlights have a lot of Tyrese McGee in them! Sniper with optional defense. 4" taller Tyler Harris. If we take him, you HAVE to have BIG guards and wings around him.. Not have Bolton, Jackson and Cone on the floor at the same time

He is maybe 1 inch taller than Harris.

I think this is correct, however Cone is much better equipped to get his shot off, nice elevation on his jumper with a quick release, and can shoot on the move. A very different shooter than Jackson and Harris IMO.

My high school team listed me at 6'4 and even after another late growth spurt I didn't hit that. Basketball roster heights are all over the place.
Haha I had the opposite issue, I was 6'3 or 4, but the team parent never asked for our heights, he just went off "well my son's 6'1 and they're all about his size" and listed like 4 or 5 6'4 or 6'5 guys at 6'1
