Might be Sullivan's opinion but might not be Prohm's. I actually like Jackson at the point when Monte was out. Think of the Miami game or the Nevada game when Monte sat out that big stretch in the second half.

I don't think it much matters who brings the ball up the court. I think the defining characteristic of a PG in our offense is who gets the ball late in the shot clock and receives the ball screen. I think Wiggington is more equipped to handle those duties than Jackson. Jackson struggled in traffic, while Wigginton looks like he specializes in finishing at the rim or getting fouled. It's nothing against Jackson, and I think he'll enjoy running around the arc while the defense collapses. Jackson can be an elite SG while I'm not sure Wigginton can.

People are going to have to get used to a non-Morris PG or a non-traditional PG where it's about passing first.

Cedar Rapids
Deandre Kane, Andrew White. Those types. Most are of the Bowie Holden ilk.

These are the grad transfers from last year.http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/14390188/college-basketball-transfer-list

Not many great or even good players there.

Fair point. There's definitely more Holden's than Kanes.

I would say that most transfers ISU has gotten and will (hopefully) continue to get will have a great impact on that years squad. Guys like Chris Babb, Jake Anderson and Korie Lucious weren't "great" players but they had a great impact on the teams they played on.

Agree that DJack was good at the point in those games and others. But he still had shooters in Matt, Deonte and Naz to throw the ball to. With those guys gone, he's now the number one deep threat. So unless the guys coming in are great shooters, we'll need DJack in the off guard spot. Just my opinion, we'll see what CSP does.

Sorry if i didn't make it clear. I was trying to say that i thought we were good with guards. I think we should pass on Wilson because I would rather look for more front court players.

Also don't think he is that good. He played less when the team got better and he isn't a good shooter. No thanks

We have more than enough space and usage available for a transfer guard, particularly a pg as they can be a 1-3.

Only 3.8 ppg but that's like 10% of Virginia scoring average this year haha

He looked like a decent player, but definitely not a fit for what Prohm likes. Beefy low-post guy. Could probably put up 12 and 8 at a decent school.

Two of those guys were sit out guys. But yes ISU has had some really good grad transfers in Anderson, Kane and BDJ.

Bottom line is this. Take two players that you need at a certain position. Low post guy and a shooting guard. Then take the next best two players you can get regardless of position. If they can beat the guy out in front of them this year or next year. Then fine. If we get another guy that can help this year. Great. Just make two players from positions we need and then two of the best you can find. Grad Transfer, Juco. High School, or Sit out one year transfer. We are still not Duke or KU. We can't be real picky. Sometimes you just take the best guy you can get.
