Looks like the Blackhawks were jealous of all the "offensive" headline the Redskins were getting so they decided to take it up a notch.

I wish there was more consistent play out of the goaltending/defense, but props to Darling and Crawford to step in for each other after giving up three first period goals to pitch shutouts and get the wins. The first and last wins of a series are the most important.

I'm pleasantly surprised Detroit played the way they did today after that collapse on Thursday. Hopefully we can finish them off at home.

I'm also happy Calgary won that series. I'm rooting for either them or Minnesota to come out of the West, but I think Anaheim will beat the Flames

That's because a lot of the goals against the Blackhawks this series have been due to real suspect defense. Yeah, the goalie does have to step up and make a save from time to time, but at times this series the defense hung the goalies out to dry and it made the goalies look bad. Better defense = fewer SOGs = (potentially) fewer goals.

I agree that the defense has had some huge lapses and allowed easy, nearly uncontested shots. But at the same time, when the defense has lapses, and a goalie allows multiple goals in a short timeframe, it can really hurt the goalie's confidence going forward in the game even when it is not the goalie's fault.

Wild up 3-1. Barring a collapse, I'm excited for another series with the Blackhawks, especially after beating a team better than the Blackhawks this round.

Better in the regular season that is. Hawks vs. Blues in recent playoff history is a no contest. In saying that I think the Wild will win the series.

And a Blackhawks team that finished the season without Patrick Kane. The whole division was pretty close from the Blues to the Wild. The only team left that would be a big surprise to me to get out of the west would be the Flames. I still think the Hawks have the edge here, but it should be a good series.

Hawks better get their goalie situation under control. Darling is becomig a headcase like Crawford. Crawford doesn't play well at the X. The fans in Minnesota will eat him alive.
