New Year's Resolutions

I made a New Year's resolution when I was about 20 or so. It was to never bother with making another one. It's likely the only one I would ever have been serious about keeping. Keeps me off the hook indefinitely, honestly.

I had my yearly physical on December 30th. It did not go well.

Resolution is to get healthy/lose weight.

While that this the typical resolution, this isn't a I want to lose weight resolution.

It's a I NEED to do this, and I need to do it now. It's time to put up or shut up.
What’s your plan? Any particular diet you’re planning to incorporate? Lifting? Walking? I’m genuinely curious as I need to do the same.

In simplest of answers, the diet plan is to eat more protein/fiber. Foods that will leave me feeling fuller for longer.

Walking is the exercise plan to start. Take the dogs for more/longer walks. I'm getting a walking pad for the days that are too cold to walk outside.

I'm disabled with a mild form of cerebral palsy, so I don't know if I'll be incorporating lifting.

I spent the previous 12 months or so losing weight and being healthier. Now it's been maintenance mode since August. So continue doing that well.

I have a goal of 100 new restaurants in 2026. I did 80 last year naturally (no goal). Maybe that goal grows if I start at a good clip.

Have more sex.

Probably gonna fail, my wife doesn't seem to want me to succeed at anything, I think she trying to keep me down.

My wife lives in another country so getting busy is not an option.

My resolution is to get the wife here this year, but we have hit some serious snags with the visa sh*t. This is a major cause of stress for us both so we need to fix it somehow.

Stop drinking soda is on the list as well. And maybe quit smoking.

All of those are worthy goals.

I dont know much about the visa process, so I wont comment on that.

But I quit smoking 20 years ago, I know the challenge that is, and even today I still have a craving now and then, it is not easy that is for sure, but if you make up your mind to do it, you can. I tried many times, until I finally was able to make it stick.

I dont drink a lot of pop. Way too much coffee, though, as I have slowly shifted my caffein intake from pop to coffee over the years. What I need to do is focus on drinking more water, and getting more exercise.

I havent informed my wife of my Sex resolution, which is probably for the best.... :p

I want to do a cartwheel, but real casual-like. Not make a big deal about it, but I know everybody saw it. One stunning, gorgeous cartwheel
