All those are solid. Agree that I think Iowa's is the best design but a little biased. They all avoid the critical mistake of adding too much tiny detail to the design. While we're talking best state flag designs, let's take a moment to salute what might be the worst... courtesy of Minnesota.

One for sure from '18 I can recall (for obvious reasons) -- other threads probably have addressed the topic before or since.

Of the 3, I prefer the first one. The 2nd one looks more like a Louisiana flag since the outline forms the L and that is more recognizable to me than the Mississippi side of the border. I like the top half of the 3rd one the best but the bottom makes it look like a campaign sign.

I agree - Why put Louisiana, or ANY other state on your own state flag?
