I hadn't heard about this until a co-worker mentioned it to me, so I figured I'd pass it along to my fellow Clones. I've always been a "hold IRS payments until the last minute" kinda guy, but I guess I need to adjust my thought process a bit.

For anyone that follows best practices for time sensitive post marked mailings and goes into a post office to get them hand stamped there is no change. If a person has just been throwing them in a collection box by the pick up time on the due date there is a now a greater chance you'll run into a problem.

Aren't you required to do it all electronically now? Or is that just estimated quarterly payments?

In Iowa postmarks mean nothing on ballots. They need to be at the Auditors office by 8:00 PM on election day. One of the few excellent moves the Iowa Secretary of State/Legislature did the last 8 years. I am a Republican.

The USPS would make me happy if 1st class stamp prices were always at .05 cent increments. No one (well I'm sure some joker would) will complain if a stamp was .80 vs. .78.

I didn't realize until recently that the US Mint stopped making pennies.
