Missouri's attendance problems are MUCH deeper than conference affiliation....I think the curtain was finally pulled back exposing things with that institution and academia in general.

That's a small part of it but I live in CoMO and I have completely stopped attending football and men's basketball. The entire schedule feels like non-conference. I have direct tv and I get all of Iowa State's games except for those on Cyclone tv as part of my basic package. I get the Big Ten Network as part of my basic package. The SEC Network is an extra fee. Direct tv has this crazy idea Missouri is located in the Midwest. Iowa State brought more fans to CoMO than any SEC school.

Missouri plays at Alabama today. It will be 12 years before Missouri plays at Alabama again because of how the SEC schedule is. That's not a conference. It's a business partnership.

While I never openly cheer for Iowa, I hope Nebraska never wins another football game, ever. I would be more than ok with them living with that misery.
