NCAA mulling over one time transfer freebee

I don't love the idea of college free agency but the horse has already left the barn. Transfers are just part of cbb now, I'd rather have something like this that is consistent and fair rather than each situation being drug out and handled with varying criteria that never seems to make sense.

Sadly though, between free agency and the option of the G League, I think CBB is swirling the drain. These two things combined decrease the balance of talent.
CBB is in big trouble imo. I'm afraid what it will be like 10 years from now.

My impression was that it usually worked the other way. AAU coach contacts college coach: “Hey, if a kid like X was hypothetically interested in transferring, would your school be interested?”
But it could become the reverse of that. College coach calls AAU or high school coach who they know from recruiting the kid: "Hey, we are really in need of an outside linebacker. You don't know of any sophomores who aren't happy in their situation, do you? Think about it and give me a call back if you come up with any ideas."

Count me in as one that thinks this is a good deal for the kids. I also believe that a one time transfer rule will help ISU more than hurts them. There has to be a lot of kids at Blue Blood schools that were highly recruited and are stuck behind two or three other studs, and just want playing time.
