NBA scouts at CyHawk?

I have not re-watched game (I was at the game) but I did see quite a few NBA scouts at Hilton last night.
Has this been posted or discussed anywhere? Or maybe how many?

Quite a few were chatting before the game in the lower West entrance.

Guessing they came to see Jefferson, Milan, Toure, Tamin, and Stertz. Not saying they are all NBA guys but scouts leave not stone unturned.

Not a good showing for Stirtz
I think that is on his coach not giving him a blow. Our guys hounded him all night with special recognition to Toure, but Lipsey, Heise and Batemon all had good minutes there too. They weren't calling any illegal screens, even with the hip checks, so was a bit surprised someone didn't test the line and really lay someone else out.

He stills scored in double figures, and his deep threes with a hand up in his face showed he can deliver. I think part of him not playing a lot of defense is knowing they can't afford for him not to be on the floor, but there has to be a big question mark if he is quick enough to guard one on one in space. Could he play the AJ Green-type role? The question will be if he can play a starting PG role or not. To me that is the key question.

Interestingly enough, AJ Green is considered strong defender in the NBA. They put him on top guys. So comparing Stirtz to him for that reason is really backwards thinking.

I just don't see it with him. Toure is good, but Stirtz couldn't create his own shot at any point of the game. He doesn't seem quick enough to be an NBA guard.

I think you're underrating Toure here. He will play in the NBA and be known as a defensive specialist, legitimately Alex Caruso level. He is that good. No shame in Stirtz not being able to iso him up, I think there are fewer than 5 guys in the country that could have an efficient game against Toure using iso. If you have watched Stirtz play any other game you would know how amazing he really is as a shooter and distributor

Yeah but that is not what NBA scouts are looking for to be honest. They clearly know he is the best on the team and we were giong to throw everything at him. in the NBA he won't get that much attention. I actually think he showed well for the scouts. Hitting really long range 3 pointers. Probably didn't show out well on defense.

The NBA won’t throw everything at him. But the NBA has a Toure on every team that will be defending him. I think it showed he would struggle with the defenders already in the NBA.

Toure exposed what his top end really is.

I know Toure is elite, but Stirtz struggled when Batemon was on him at times, too.

Trust me, they won't be putting their Toure defender on Stertz. They will be putting him on SGA or Haliburton or one of them dudes

Not surprising since AJ's dad is our defensive specialist!!

Genuine question because I don't really know much about it, but what do NBA scouts gain from being at the game in person that they can't just see on film? Is it more of a personality look in the huddle, etc?
