NBA Draft Projections

I'd like to see RW stay one more year and truly become an ISU legend. If he leaves now, we will remember him for awhile...but like Brackins, Stinson, or Blalock, they just didn't do much and will be forgotten in a few years (granted RW got us back into the NCAA's). I'd like him to work his way up to Tinsley/Fizer status where he'll ALWAYS be remembered as a cyclone great.

Honestly, I view Brackins higher than White at this point. He was his team for 3 years. He had a chance to go pro after his soph year and decided to stay because he thought (we all thought) that we had a real chance to do something. What situation does this sound like?

If White comes back, he moves up over Brackins. Brackins gave another year when his team (and coach) needed him most. He tried to bring ISU back, but couldn't do it himself. Now, White has the same chance. What will he choose? Loyal sons...

He's going to be a 3 in the NBA.

Those of you saying he'll be a lottery pick if he stays one more year, what are you basing that on? Won't next year's crop of one-and-done super-freshman be the 2013 lottery picks? I wouldn't be so sure that RW can play himself into lottery status. They draft on potential. I don't know how much higher his stock can go right now.

Deeper draft this year since some potential 1 and done's stayed put last year due to the NBA lockout.

Just stop. White won't be an NBA 3.

Yes but in this 2012 class not only do you have the super freshman, but 2 year players like Barnes, Lamb, Sullinger, etc. This class is loaded. With pub and hype plus a weaker class next year Royce is guranteed to be a lottery pick.

"Guaranteed" is more than too strong of a word. Several things could happen that would prevent him from being a lottery pick. He could blow out his knee, get in a car wreck, or just not produce like he did this year. No one is guaranteed a lottery spot until they're drafted.

But if he were to leave and slip to the second round (which is what I think would be the case), he'd wouldn't have much, if any more security than he'd have by staying. You blow your knee out as a second rounder? You're gone, or at least you CAN be cut without getting paid. Second rounders are pretty strictly held to "what have you done for me lately?".

Honest question -- I don't really pay much attention to the NBA -- so bear with me...are they just not including European players in their mock right now, or are they not being drafted due to some change due to the new CBA.

I'm not sure actually. Either there are not that great of foreign players or they just do not know who is declaring. I am guessing they just have no idea who is declaring.
