I’m a DC boy (born and raised, yet went to ISU), but will be heading to Morgantown on Saturday. Who else is heading to the beautiful and friendly city of Morgantown for the game on Saturday?! I’ll be tailgating with my girlfriend, my friend and his wife that are WVU fans, and my coworker that also went to ISU. It’ll be a fun time with a great and super friendly fanbase. Mountaineer fans are my favorite outside of the obvious Iowa State fans.

Heading to Morgantown Thursday from Omaha. Never been before. Let’s finish Brocktober strong and set up a huge showdown with Texas.

You won’t be disappointed. WVU fans love us for some reason and they will all be welcoming. I’ll let you know where we are tailgating and will have extra beer if you want to stop by for one!

FYI, there are reasonably priced flights from Pittsburgh or Washington DC-Dulles straight into Morgantown for those going or planning on going.

I can't make it, but its on my bucket list of Big 12 towns to hit up. I've heard Morgantown and the WVU fans are great.

Morgantown is a great road trip, and their fan base will treat you right. Not a bad drive from Iowa, we were there two years ago for the game.

Most welcoming fan base I have ever seen at an away game, they all seemed happy we were there, and more than willing to share food and drink with us.

I'll tell ya when I walk into my small town coffee shop here in the mountains of West Virginia tomorrow morning. Now that WV won, they might have more bark back and want to go to the game. They're much older folks (and that's saying something since I'm 60+) so they have good ties into getting good tickets. Of course, if I do get there, I'll do my darnedest to find the best ISU tail gating. Let's just hope we don't have a let down.

I am in Ohio visiting my son. Had to miss Saturday's game. So why not stay extra day and go to Morgan Town?? Hell yes!

Friends are going. I’m trying to remember the name of the really old off campus bar that the WVU fans traditionally hit on Friday night. Think it was just NE of campus in a residential area. Stand alone building. Bar along East wall w/ kitchen behind. Long rows of tables slid together. Packed & very welcoming. People got up to give my wife & I seats. Demanded that we come to their tailgate next day, which we did. And it’s a big deal at stadium tailgates to have the best “shine” that is not store bought. If anyone knows the bar name, I’d like to pass on to friends.
