Thanks for the link. But, putting on my "reality goggles," there is absolutely nothing to see here. If a "blueblood" school is involved, it will all eventually be swept under the rug. You might see some initial outrage and a few articles "condemning" this behavior. We've seen this same song and dance time and time again (just ask Arizona, KU, Calipari, Pearl). At most, Central Michigan University might get a post-season ban, but Sparty will experience no meaningful repercussions.

And, if anyone wants to point to Pearl, K Sampson or even Pitino to say somehow that these guys were actually punished - don't look now, all three are back coaching at the D-1 level. Pitino was at an actual Blueblood school - how long was he away from basketball? From coaching D-1 basketball? Amazing that his actions were just as bad as Pete Rose's, yet Ricky never has received a ban from his sport.

Very interesting. Good points. Also, in you just bringing up Pete Rose... the Houston Astros, IMO, just pulled the worst cheating story in the history of Baseball... and Pete is still banned from Baseball? Why aren't some of these cheatin' Astros being added to that list?

And the only thing Pearl actually got punished for was turning in Illinois for recruiting violations.
