Monte Morris is Big Time

With all the talk of Nader, Niang, and Naz I think Monte deserves a little hype too.

14pts, 6 ast, 5 reb, 2 blk, 1 stl and played 38 min, the most of any player along with Hogue (who was also a beast)

This kid is just a stud and he makes the whole thing go. Only 8 games into his sophomore year and he's fast becoming a leader on this team. I really admire the way he carries himself with that calm confidence. He's always in control. Driving to the basket when he needs to and distributing the ball with insane efficiency.

To think he has almost 3 full seasons still. Awesome.

Seriously though, it was great watching him drive the lane with ease for a teardrop bucket or easy assist to Hogue/Nader. Time would be ticking down and the arena would get real loud, then the lane would open and Morris would just dart in, drop a bucket, and hush the crowd. The old guy behind me kept yelling, "Keep him from driving ya bums!"

Morris and Diallo will be Fred's first two HS recruits to leave early when they are both drafted in the lottery after next season
