Taxes need to be raised on sportsbooks too. Iowa has the lowest tax rate of any state other than NV. It's amazing nobody has even lobbied for it.

The ex WeWill staff Blum&Co. did great it is now up to the foundation to step up. The foundation loves big money so I'm guessing the poors (me) will not be bothered.Get competent people in charge of the NIL?
Must have been a decent amount since Copley disappeared off their leadership team shortly after the whole blowup.I wonder how much Landus was spending on it?
That’s a whole other box of worms that probably can’t be opened here…but that gravy train is over.
I don’t think most understand the levels of f’u money rolling around Texas…or the difference in how these people view money.Who is getting paid that much at TCU? Miles?
Maybe they have big WBB donors, but it would be absolute idiotic for them to allocate that level of support to a single player on the WBB team. That enough for like 3 quality football players. They barley even have 3,000 in average attendance. I can believe they offer more than other schools with oil money, but that much for any WBB player is almost an unconscionably bad use of resources.
I thankfully don’t have any involvement or shares there any more. But that place should be a case study in fiduciary management run amuck.Must have been a decent amount since Copley disappeared off their leadership team shortly after the whole blowup.
There is an ISU branded credit card from the Alumni Association. I don’t have one, but I’ve been getting the solicitations for years.Just curious...what advantage might there be if ISU went back to selling tix directly instead of handing over a cut to Ticketmaster? Could get 25% more in sales if the school went without their "taste"?
Is there an ISU credit card, like the ones you get from Marriott or the airlines? Some people might go for that.
Google sez: Marriott makes significant revenue from its credit card programs through upfront cash from banks (like Chase/Amex), ongoing fees for selling points, increased customer loyalty/spend (6X points on hotel spend), and driving high-value redemptions where they profit from hotels paying higher rates for point redemptions at high occupancy. These deals provide cash flow, brand loyalty, and higher hotel revenue capture, making them highly lucrative, potentially hundreds of millions annually.
I agree with you but not many folk make the connections unless it is mentioned by people in the know.I thankfully don’t have any involvement or shares there any more. But that place should be a case study in fiduciary management run amuck.
The ties between them and CF / We Will isn’t a great look.

But why aren't they spending it on a good FB team? They are 9th in the conference in attendance in WBB and 16th for MBB. Why would they waste their money on a sport they don't even support well when their football team is mid?I don’t think most understand the levels of f’u money rolling around Texas…or the difference in how these people view money.
They’re not tight, German farmers. Many have money they blow through…many have real wealth. But they spend it much more freely. Probably because it comes easier.
Here’s the link to apply.does it have the i-state logo on it
Rich people bragging rights. But why aren't they spending it on a good FB team? They are 9th in the conference in attendance in WBB and 16th for MBB. Why would they waste their money on a sport they don't even support well when their football team is mid?
Nope. I’m a 3 year donor and haven’t gotten so much as a text from the foundation to donate to the We Will Fund. The JP is more concerned with Cytown than being competitive in Rev sharingHas the foundation advertised the we will fund anywhere? It seems to me that I haven’t heard a single campaign or advertisement from the university about. It seems like I’ve only heard about it from CF and Blum who doesn’t even work on it anymore.
I’ve gone to a handful of basketball games and I don’t think I ever recall a single video message about the wewill fund.
If you look at their class A shares, the volume dropped from 5.5MM or so down to 2.5MM area. Which means over half their members cashed in their shares.I thankfully don’t have any involvement or shares there any more. But that place should be a case study in fiduciary management run amuck.

As a Cyclone Club member, I received an email on December 18 informing me that there were other ways of supporting athletics including We Will, the unrestricted fund, and the Champions Circle. The email stated that We Will supports the coaches in their efforts to recruit and retain high caliber athletes. That’s the only thing I’ve seen, but I haven’t given to We Will in the past.Nope. I’m a life member, too. I’ve been getting the solicitations for many years. At least now it is email instead of junk mail.Hmm, I'm a Lifetime Member, but apparently not on that mailing list. Shh.
