That close to the truck?!?!
According to the article.

David’s body was reportedly found 1.5 miles west of where his truck was located

I wonder what the circumstances are, because if it was out in the open I would think it would have been found in the searches right away.

Was it in a building? Covered/hidden? etc. I am sure more details will come out soon.

I can't imagine having to be identified by your boots is a good thing. I haven't seen many people with their name on their boots.

I have some family from the Sac City area.
They just told me they found David Schultz’s body about 100 yards from his truck in a field.

Anyone else hearing this? I’m not seeing it reported anywhere.
Sometimes the rumor mill up there isn’t the most reliable ha
How in the heck did they not find him back in November if he was only that far away from his truck?

Edit: nevermind, I see it was 1.5 miles away. That's understandable.

Roughly 5 months from disappearance; I can’t image what the decomp would be like. Above ground or beneath.

I dont know the exact intersection his truck was found. But if I have the right one (5 miles north of "old hwy 20, on 71 according to articles) I believe there is an abandoned acreage 1.5 miles west of that location.

Hwy71 and 180th St. west 1.5 miles.

This is a total guess, but it by the info out there, it makes a little sense.

Will be interested to see what is info is given when they release more.

edit: it does say in a farmers field, but that could mean a few things.

Was any additional information released about the second person missing?

My mistake the article I read said 71, which 71 that far north is in a different location. Union Ave is the continuation of 71 north of 20, where 71 goes north of 20 at karr.

Looks like there is a drainage ditch in that location west of Union and 190th.

Being relatively familiar with those roads it was clear most reporters never looked at a map. Most of the descriptions didn't make logical sense at all.

Will be interesting to hear how the body was found and if it was buried or not. The circumstances up until now just reek of foul play IMO.

This sounds even more fishy now and I have so many more questions. With such a mild winter I find it hard to believe they missed him throughout the weeks and months worth of search parties.
