This is a bit remote for this forum, but I thought fans of Melvin Ejim would want to know and be saddened to learn that his brother Kenny, who was playing BB in Bahrain passed earlier this month. No cause of death has been released that I could find.

Kenny was one of 3 brothers to play basketball: Melvin who currently plays for Slovenian club KK Cedevita Olimpija in the Solvenian and ABA Leagues, Ryan who plays in Spain and Kenny.

Apparently, condolences are being posted to Twitter. My apologies if this appeared previously in CF, but I could not find it.

Melvin just had a baby in December. Highest of highs and lowest to lows all within a month. Feel bad for Melvin and his family

That's tough to lose a sibling so young. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

This is absolutely tough to see Mel going through this. He was, and still is the most humble athletes I’ve EVER associated with. Only a few others that were humble like him. Rahshon Clark, and Georges Niang come to mind, but Mel was awesome. Saddened to hear.

Melvin (and guys like Charlie Kolar) are the definition of student athlete.

Inch per inch, pound per pound or whatever Melvin was one of the best the Big 12, let alone ISU, had for four years. Class guy. Sad news and best wishes to a great Cyclone.
