The reason he didn't want to talk to ISU from the sports dude prior to your pal Marty:

Turner Gill was burnt by the Auburn experience (in particular, he has a white wife and somebody or people at Auburn made some racists comments) . . hence, he has backed off big time from interviewing elsewhere. Doesn't sound like ISU had a fair shake . . and I don't really care . . it is time to move on.

BTW, I have never listened to these guys . .but does "Marty" always bag on ISU in negative tome??

I actually don't know anyone on the radio on this side of Iowa that doesnt talk either very neutral or very negative about ISU. Not sure what side of the state M&M broadcast on though.

Ok....I have no idea what that means but I'm done with this thread....unload all you want but.....blame the messenger...that is always the easy way out.

Because we don't take what martha says as all truth? I think you're the one who needs to come to grips. Pollard told the media when looking for Chizik that he wasn't going to be granting interviews and then M&M came out with all their "big news" that all but flopped on them. I was listening then and Pollard made those two look like hacks. Now he stated in the press conference yesterday the same silence until the coach is hired stance and now their doing it again. I don't listen to them anymore, but from reading the comments on here about the interview, it seems like whoever was claiming Gill "might have been contacted" lacked a little bit in the credibility department.

Pollard isn't talking so that means that all the scoops we are hearing and lame attempts to make it look like they are in the know again. Again they will be made into fools.

I post essentially this same message in every thread that rips on Marty, but I guess it needs repeating.

Marty's job is to get people talking and posting on message boards. That is what he does for a living. The more you *****, moan, and whine about Marty, the more people tune into his show. That way his show's ratings go up. Hence, KXNO can charge more for advertising on the show, thefore making more money. In the end, Marty ends up making more money.

SO......those that are calling Marty a complete idiot may want to look in the mirror for a minute. You are doing exactly what he wants you to do.

Take the show and Marty for what it is. He truthfully doens't beleive 90% of the **** he spews, he just wants you to think he does and then go tell all your friends how much of an ******* he is.

It's working like a charm.
 
Marty has been on an ISU ripping fest since Pollard punked him on the season ticket sales.

What I wish they'd realize is that their audience would be better served if they treated ISU AND Iowa better. I'd really like to see them get more interviews with reps of both schools. As it is now both schools avoid them like the plague.
 
And for that matter I think MandM will be the absolute last to know who the next coach is.

He was spouting off yesterday about watching the ISU plane on FlightTracker...totally ignorant of the fact that ISU's plane is no longer available to track because MSG BOARD geeks scooped the last hire.

Look . . that would be true IF people keep listening. If I tune in for a few minutes and crack the code on these morons. How does that enhance their ratings? It doesn't. But then again, in Iowa the sports show format is as follows: Iowa good / ISU bad. What a winning formula! What glorious radio!

No problem with that but when he takes rumor and makes it fact he is wrong. He has messed with players, and now he speaks of Gill like he has a clue what is going on. he doesn't.

You said m &m are right 90% of the time....they are not.
 
He keeps saying that he gets his info from big boosters. If this is true, I wish those boosters, if they care about ISU, would not tell him anything.

Very few boosters know anything. The ones that do wouldn't talk to Marty or Miller.
