The reason Lucca Staiger gets called out individually is because of the hype we've been fed about him.
Mcdermott's entire 2nd reason was written off with the excuse that the NCaa screwed us. If only we'd had Lucca, if only we'd had Lucca.
Then when he finally does play, in Mcdermott's third season, he's generally horrible. And the team has another horrible season.
And now, this off-season, we're treated to all the consternation about will Lucca come back or won't he.
As if it possibly makes a difference to the team.
Unless you could count on him night in and night out to score points.
Which last night proves again, as it was proven over and over last season, you can't count on Lucca to help us.
Mcdermott's excuses got old to me a long time ago. I'm glad to see that the fact that he's been in over his head since day one is finally becoming clear to everyone.
