I'm gonna back-pedal. Asked someone else and he thinks it would be covered, much the same way vandalism would be covered if someone had spray painted the siding.Insurance usually doesn't cover cosmetic damage. It can, but it's an endorsement and most people choose not to purchase it.
Cosmetic damage more refers to hail dimples caused on aluminum siding or something similar. It still functions, it just doesn't look good. That kind of claim would not be covered without an endorsement.
