LED/LCD TV's

I have a Samsung LCD and Panasonic plasma. In sunlight the LCD looks better in every other instance the plasma looks better if you have them side by side. If you don't have them side by side you probably couldn't tell the difference.

The only thing I didn't like is that my Samsung broke after about 3 weeks. I called Samsung and they didn't have anyone in DM that would fix them. I had to take it to Adel to get it fixed. It ended up being a part that was more expensive then the whole TV so Samsung replaced the whole thing. It took quite a long time and I had to be very persistent to get it done, which seems to be the trend.

If I had to buy another TV it would be a tough choice. Next time I would probably buy it at Costco though.

One other thing I forgot, I ran a calibration on each TV and the Panasonic was near perfect out of the box. I had to make a lot of adjustments on the Samsung but it now looks good.

Ive got a 46" samsung and have been very happy with it. LN46C650.

For all those mentioning sound on these size tvs.. if youre going to drop as much money as an LED or high end LCD costs, its well worth it to at very least pick up a basic 5 channel receiver and speakers. Spending a lot on the visual, make sure the audio experience is at that same level.
