Last Final Ever!

Wow, this is exactly me too. I usually realize halfway through the semester that I competely forgot about a class I was in. Scares the crap out of me every time.

I also have the nightmare where you realize you have been forgetting to go to a class and it's time for the final. I also sometimes can't find the building. And sometimes I'm naked or in my underwear.

I guess I didn't appreciate my last ever final. I took no finals my last quarter (profs could let you out of the final if you were passing and you were a graduating senior and mine all did. I didn't know they all would the previous quarter). I do remember the great feeling of relief when the last final of the quarter (or better yet - spring quarter) was over and you'd accomplished another year of college.

I remember being VERY pleased and relieved when I opened up the letter saying I'd passed my PE exam.

Retirement was the best ever. Never having to get up and go in before dawn, fighting traffic, bad weather, alarm clocks was a great great feeling.

Why is it everyone has that same stupid dream? In mine, I've decided to go back to school and realize during finals week that there was a class I registered for and then completely forgot about. My mom still has those dreams, and she's in her 60's.
Yep. Had that same exact dream many times. Thankfully not for several years now.

Yes, there is lots of better feelings. In fact, one of them is going back to school, which I'd do in a heartbeat again. The real world sucks!!!

Duh. That is why they have grad schools! A masters is the new bachelors degree!

Who would not long for a life where the only thing you truly had to worry about was passing a test and getting your loan money in on time. My worries list is a thousand fold that now. Man, you never get that back, and you take it for granted when you have it. College is truly a magical time where you do what you want with very little actual worries. Come back and tell us how college was when you have kids, a wife, a mortage, a job, retirement to plan, insurance issues, yard work, car repairs, kids college funds to save for, etc. I am not saying I don't love my life, but it isn't wake up at 10, sleep through class, play some video games, cram for a test, hit the gym, and head out to the party; repeat. There are plenty of days I'd go back.

Thanks for the response.

My college experience is really not like this, so I guess that may explain why we feel differently.

If that is the case, heres to hoping you've loosened up some since then. Life is too short to take it too seriously. I'm pulling for you.

I'm happy with how things are going. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy college, but it's not like that for me. Was a good post in this thread earlier about how it's different for some students. I have some friends that enjoy the college life to the fullest - skipping classes and getting hammered each night - but it's not like that for everyone

College is great of course. But whenever I see the flood of posts on here about how much life sucks after college... I can't help but think that you are doing it wrong. Of course, I am a college student, so I fully acknowledge that I could be unpleasantly surprised once I enter the "real world."

Yeah, past freshman year, I wasn't even in the get hammered group at all. There are defiitely lots of other ways to not take college too seriously and still have a ton of fun outside of getting hammered and I enjoyed a lot of those other things. The rest of everyyards post had just a few of them, but there are many more too. I'm going to stop talking now though because the more I talk the more I start to miss them.
