Kyle Guy can't get wedding gifts

Well I assume this has happened at Kansas so we can defer to the Kansas Fan. Pretty sure if there was a huge gift everyone would report the violation. However, If Mr Janny buys Mariol Shayok a ten dollar toaster for his wedding. Is that a problem? Really?
The real problem here is the $10 toaster. I mean really, that's almost rude...did he get it from a garage sale?

Just dumb. Can we use some discretion here maybe? So what if they guy is popular in the community and has a great wedding and gifts to go with it? That's kind of the point right? People who give positive experiences should receive them in turn. School has to protect itself I understand that, just make them sign a waiver or something, isn't he graduating anyways?

Then it becomes a judgement deal, which is a gray area that's hard to enforce. A $10 toaster turns into a $500 grill, which turns into a $1,500 professional smoker, which turns into a $100,000 RV for partying and road trips which happens to have a toaster in it.

Like I said in my first post, I am using hyperbole, but I can understand why they have to take such a hard stance because gray areas are hard to monitor.
