I had an excellent tenderloin there myself. And a chat with the mister and missus. Top notch.

Courtney Joens is the new coach at West Liberty. The best player? Her little sister.
Iowa City's Joens family is famous for its basketball players. Two of them are making West Liberty a state contender.www.desmoinesregister.com
WEST LIBERTY – West Liberty High School girls basketball coach Courtney Joens stands on the sidelines during a December practice watching her team go through a fast-break drill. She watches intently as her younger sister Kelsey, a senior for the Comets, drives to the hoop and finishes a nice layup. - DSM Register
I've eaten there several times and always enjoyed it. Once, had a 30 minute convo with Brian, always talk to the Mom and the girls if they are working. Passed by last night and wanted to stop, but rest in car didn't as it was during IC "rush hour"Had a tenderloin there last week, fantastic! Fries were top notch. Our group had a fun conversation Ashly's mother.
She was caught behind Fritz, Diew, and MEM on the depth chart. She might have been better off going to a Marquette or SDSU-type school, but Jennie B. was familiar with her from being at Drake and offered her a chance to stay high-major.Does anyone know why Aubrey left ISU?
She’s not getting more minutes at Oklahoma and stats are not that great either.
I know that’s not everything that matters in life, but as far as basketball goes, it seems it was not a great move for her.
I, too, visited before the Iowa game and have the same experience, food and conversation.Had a tenderloin there last week, fantastic! Fries were top notch. Our group had a fun conversation Ashly's mother.

I posted this before - I also had a long talk with both her parents, especially her mom.Does anyone know why Aubrey left ISU?

She said ISU just wanted her to run to the corner and shoot threes. She wanted a bigger role than that. There was no bitterness in the conversation. Obviously, the next daughter is coming to ISU.
I only watched a little of her at OU. Seemed to me like she ran to the corner awaiting a three attempt. I liked her as a player. I also suspect she left for PT, as we have a bunch of kids fighting for those minutes. I liked her better than Fritz, until last game. Hopefully that’s a trend.
Lisa (Macke) Joens was All-State bb in 1993. I have a lot of family in Oelwein and pretty sure my cousins know, at least, her parents.Had a tenderloin there last week, fantastic! Fries were top notch. Our group had a fun conversation Ashly's mother.
She would have played more minutes here! Oh well!Does anyone know why Aubrey left ISU?

Yeah, about that…Kelsey isn’t as tall or physical as Ashley. I’ve seen all four Joens girls play many games at City and I rate them: 1) Ashley, 2) pre-ACL Courtney, 3) Aubrey and 4) Kelsey. I don’t see Kelsey’s game translating to the physical Big XII, but what do I know!?! I hope she proves me wrong and starts from day one.Let's hope next year we're get Kelsey's play mixed up with Ashley.
