Disagree, Stl is a hard core Cardinals town, they also have the second most title in the history of baseball.
I'm not saying they don't have more fans, but it's close. St Louis had a huge advantage before cable TV became a thing, but we are well past that happening.

It surprises me the Brewers have more than the Twins. Not only is MSP much larger than Milwaukee(even if you included greater Madison) they seem to have more reach with fans in Iowa and the Dakotas.

There are less people in Iowa and the Dakotas combined than in the MSP metro alone. Big area, few people.

Regular season baseball other than big rivalries with playoff implications are usually more laid back for most people. For sure. There are passionate fans and fan bases, but going to a game in June is a pretty chill experience most places.

Playoff baseball has an atmosphere that’s similar to a good regular season NFL game. Which makes sense when consider sheer number of games and importance of each.
Playoff baseball is as intense as NFL playoffs. It’s a wild ass ride since you get games almost every night. The party isn’t just once a week. So much fun.

I spend a good deal of time in St Louis, mostly the western and northwestern suburbs.
To me, St Louis feels "bigger" than KC. Not sure how much the actual population differs between the two.
It definitely feels older as well. Some of the suburbs mentioned already, Ladue, Chesterfield, Clayton, are all very nice places. If I were ever to relocate to the area, those would be my choice.

I will say that St Louis has traffic like a city twice its size. Proportionally it's pretty bad. (DC/Baltimore is the worst, though)

The first time I drove in real traffic was the DC beltway during morning rush hour. I bet I ripped ten darts
The Cardinals are the Yankees of the National League. They probably have more fans than any teams in baseball except for the Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers.

Ummm the Cubs would like a word. The Cub's fanbase is absolutely larger than the Cards.

Probably. Cubs certainly have loyal fans. WGN has given them a true national following and I sometimes forget how much then population of a city can help a team in terms of the number of fans. I mean even a team from New York that has 20% of the city is going to have a lot of fans.

Crazy pissing match, the Cubs playing in Chicago and have WGN have more fans, sure hasn't helped them win more pennants or World Series.
