Kansas @ Kansas State

Really wish we would learn to play a zone. These big teams can't handle a zone. Kansas St has like 8 points against a not great zone.

The key to beating these zones is dribbling but just 2-3 steps through the outer layer. Then you have to take the mid-range shot or move the ball. Everyone just stands around and throws it back and forth.

The problem is they would go absolutely nuts with making their 3s if we played that way against them - then people would complain how bad our D was. Heck, we had a hand in their face on multiple occasions in our game against them in Hilton and they still were knocking the shots down. Tonight, they have struggled often when left wide open - they seem to never do that against us.

The key is putting wade in the middle and getting him the ball to drive or kick. Which is why we put THT in the middle

That helps too. He plays a lot like Niang but Kansas isn't stupid. They were bringing Lawson up all over him and doubling. If the high post is your only option still going to be difficult. Ole Miss was just bad at defense and played lazy defense.

There was a good example of an adjustment I think by Weber. He kept a second big guy down low who occupied D. Lawson and opened up Wade at the high post.

KSU putting on a clinic of low percentage shots. I like ISU’s chances to take one back from them in a couple weeks.

We need to play like we did @KU, and not the last two games. But if so, I could definitely see it happening.

I do as well with how salty we’ve been on the road this year. And I think our guys are pissed about letting the first one get away

I hope you’re right. Of all our remaining games though, I think that’s our most likely loss.
What we have going for us is that they stole the game from us in Ames right at the end. The team will be pretty motivated for K-State.

Their offense is chuck it up and crash the boards. B. Brown and D. Wade still give them two very good scoring options and dangerous.

What is going on with Lawson and his injury? Looked like he got Tony Hardinged and then is back in 10 seconds later.

KSU is a team of guys who seem to have been around forever.

Guess I don't mind it since that's unusual.
