Pretty sure I laughed for about 5 minutes straight after the "doink for the division". Still chuckling about it this morning. At this point I'm learning to just buckle up and enjoy the ride.

From an article in the Athletic this morning talking about the pass to Kelsy to get the first down, Reid wanted to run the ball, and Mahomes told him, he would rather call a pass play and added "I will make something happen." Kelsey was suppose to be running a corner route to the endzone and instead broke off his route. Mahomes said after the juked the LB, he was planning on running and then looked to see Kelsey standing in the middle of the field all by himself. That arrogance and confidence in one another is why they continue to win. They believe in their ability to make something happen when they need it the most.

This season has been crazy. The offense really needs to pick it up here the last couple of weeks. The secondary is much worse than last year and the pass rush isn’t as good. Defense isn’t going to put away games as good as last year.

Mahomes is .500 now when trailing in the 4th quarter. That is a ridiculous stat.
Pass rush is fine. We were playing against two insanely good tackles.

The secondary on the other hand... woof.

They are averaging 1 less sack a game than the last 2 years. Combined with the poor secondary play, and we have seen QBs tear them up more.

We are getting pressure on the QB's, but it seems like it is getting there a half step to late. Not getting much out of the player we got from NE, was really hoping he would come in and make a difference, but sure has not done much yet.

As much credit as Veach gets, this OT situation is a complete cluster ****. The offense is ready to roll once Pacheco gets back up to game speed and we get Hollywood Brown on the field. But not if Mahomes is getting sacked/hit 10 times a game. Starting to remind me of the Buccaneer Super Bowl.

Did anyone really think he wouldn't?
To be fair, Reid said, "most likely to start". Not a 100% definitive yes, but that's about is close as you'll ever get from Andy. Hollywood on track to be activated as well. Closest Mahomes has been to his full complement of Avengers. Now if the O-line and play calling don't betray him, I feel a big game coming.

I worry about Mahomes with a short week and having to play again Weds. Don't know what magic they work on his ankle when he gets hurt but if there is any doubt they should error on the side of caution and start Wentz this week. Would rather he get the extra time to heal that up than having to hold your breath the next few weeks after every time he takes a hit and is slow to get up or starts to limp a little on it wondering if he's going to be OK.

I'm okay with letting most of these guys walk. Bolton has really cost himself a lot of money this year. Who do they need to re-sign?
You have to bring back Brown, see if Hopkins will take less money to win, Perine also. See if Bolton wants crazy money, if he does, let him walk. Most of the others, unless they are willing to take team friendly deals, I would let the walk. We need to find one if not two tackles for the offensive line either in the draft or as free agents and another corner.

The Chiefs have now won 15 consecutive one score games. That isn't just luck. A run of good luck doesn't go that long.
it's a little bit of luck.

but chiefs are squarely in the mid 2000's Patriots point in the narrative. seem very beatable, weak at places, and retooling, but still find themselves atop the mountain even in the down years.

they're the only team that has that 'juju' about them, where team's half expect to lose, even if they don't want to.
