NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

not a Lawrence fan.
He was awful on that drive. TWICE he should have run out of bounds to stop the clock, and he turned it up for a minimal gain and loss of clock and loss of a TO. Then, the delay of game penalty. Just got lucky and pulled that one out by sheer luck.

Nope. Don't hate the Chiefs. Indifferent actually. Yes, questionable calls happen in every game (for and against the Chiefs). Just pointing out (in response to a Chiefs fan claiming that penalties did not impact the game) that those two penalties that were not called (and one had the flag picked up for goodness sakes) had a huge impact on scoring in the game. They were not penalties in the middle of the field that just stopped a possession. I personally don't care that they were not called and not hard-coded about the penalties being worthy or not, but the booth ref appeared to think they were both penalties. The two no calls both directly led to Chiefs TDs. Perhaps, the booth ref is the Chiefs hater. :)

FFS, the worst call of the night was the refs bailing out Jax on a 3rd and 15 when Lawrence threw a completely uncatchable ball into the dirt. Both the receiver and Watson basically fell down trying to get to the turf pass. Refs bail out Jax with a ridiculous DPI call. They should have been punting down 14-0, but get the chance for 14-7 at halftime.

Tired of such ignorant fans that watch the game with such bias.

Oh come on. The lack of DPI call on that INT that gave the Chiefs the ball at the 19 yard line had a way more massive impact on the game. You're really going to compare that play that happened in the 4th quarter to one penalty that happened in the first half when Jacksonville was way back on their own 25? That's straight up delusional lol.

In the three games they have lost, the Chiefs had what seemed like a sure score turned away by a pick right outside the end zone in two of those games. Mahomes did not even see the guy last night that dropped into coverage when he threw the pass. One more game without Rice and then we will see if the offense can start clicking, have to give Jacksonville credit when a lot of teams would have folded down 14 to 0, they stuck around and kept making plays.

Penalties aside I’d be curious to see how many NFL teams win when they throw a pick 6 on the 1. It’s basically a 14 point swing.

The pick 6 was the game really. Huge momentum swing. That and not being able to stop Lawrence who basically fell down twice before scoring the game winner.

Jags won, so it doesn't matter. But KC scored a TD on an Offensive PI that was changed after Mahomes talked to the refs, and the Jags had an interception on a play where defensive PI was not called. Those were two HUGE no-calls that benefitted the Chiefs. Even the booth ref thought those were penalties that should have been called.
I don't get why the booth ref said that regarding the Td. Chiefs were on the 2. The blocking was not taking place in endzone it was on the 1. You're allowed to block 1 yard downfield which is what Mahomes was saying which is what happened and why they correctly waved flag.

2nd one you can probably call PI either way. Looked like a pick play but he threw it to wrong guy.

Apparently he is in Cali for a family issue. There is a small chance he might get back.

Maybe he will walk in at halftime like Waterboy. :D But I suspect they will have him on the inactive list. Glad to hear it is not injury, hope his family is OK.
