Kansas basketball tickets

AND - it's on fricking BLEACHERS in the rafters.
Like JSB, we bought tickets for a game there via stubhub (unfortunately, the year AFTER we won there...although we were ahead at halftime...) and we kept getting emails from them...finally found a way to unsubscribe from their mailing list.

After all the stuff I've heard about how amazing & historic & impressive Phog Allen Fieldhouse is, I have to say I was really underwhelmed. We had to pass through metal detectors to enter a rather grimy outer concourse. Inside the arena were permanent bleachers for most of the seating, with folding wooden chairs for the big money area. The parking was expensive, but reasonably close. Just a ***** & a half to egress after the game...out of the fieldhouse, out of the parking lot, and out of the crowded neighborhood back to our hotel. The "museum" in the concourse was kind of cool, though.

I managed to rent a temp seatback (like we have at Jack Trice), despite my telling them that NO, I would not provide them with a doctor's note referencing my scoliosis, but it took a couple of hours of finagling on the phone and in person, and handing over my driver's license for them to hold until I returned the seatback. Apparently they normally only allow season ticket holders to rent them and they were doing me this big favor. Yeah - not so much. While I was discussing the situation with one of the people staffing the booth, the other was handing out both reserved ones for season ticket holders, and non-reserved for random ticket holders like me. The difference was, those random ticket holders were not wearing ISU gear. :D
I have had season tickets at AFH for several years and had no idea that they rented seat backs. I have seen some people bring them in for themselves but have never seen any provided by KU or AFH. Interesting.

I don't know directions within your building, but the booth is just outside the ramps, and at the opposite end of the building from where we came up from the parking lots.
We were told we could not bring our stadium seats into the game - seat cushions only. I need a brace for my back if I'm going to be in one seat for several hours. Perhaps you simply haven't been looking hard enough.

I haven't been looking at all. Sounds like it is at the opposite end of the arena from where I come in and not near anything I got look at when I go to games.

I don't sit long enough at a game to benefit from them, I suppose. To each their own.

Surly, I believe you follow KU sports closer than the purple kitties.

I certainly enjoy finance. Many schools publish their athletic department numbers, others don't. Additionally, Ku puts themselves up to be a superior basketball program. And that's true. But it has been built on buying players through third parties. And that house of cards is about to collapse. When it does and Ku is playing of the same recruiting field as other B12 schools, it will be a good day for the conference and college basketball generally.
