What are the names of the songs they played in the 2nd half? I've heard them played before there, but apparently I'm now too old to know what these songs are.

They play “won’t back down” by Tom Petty during the fourth. Replaced sweet Caroline last year during the games. I was looking forward to it during the third quarter, probably my favorite part of the game honestly. Think it matches the mentality of the team perfectly. don’t care who you are, we are right here and ready to finish this

That was after the safety.

This probably doesn’t belong here but the music choice was so much better last night. Playing trap music got everyone hyped, not just the student section. As cringy as it was to watch moms try to dance to it the atmosphere was electric

I don't know how old you are but for some of us, watching moms dance is all we have. Please don't take that away from us.

I noticed one song that I remember thinking was very inappropriate but can't remember what song it was. And for me to say something is inappropriate then it definitely was.

I didn't think there was anything bad played, IIRC. I guess hearing people play Closer by NIN in the parking lot may have set a low bar though.

I'm guessing you are referring to "Hot in Here" - referring to take your clothes off/I wanna take my clothes off in the song.

Always love when they play "Juicy Wiggle" at games. Don't know if it is because it's a great stadium song or if it's because it's a sign things are going well for the Cyclones.

Yeah I wish they would play that after the 3rd quarter like they did the last few games of the season last year. They played it the 1st game after Tom Petty died kind of as a tribute then the next game was the TCU game which was fitting being up 14-7 against the #4 team then the last home game we were down 3 to #15 OSU. Kind of thought we finally found a fitting replacement for Sweet Caroline in that spot as "won't back down" fits this program's mentality right now so not sure why we strayed away from that song to start the season.

TBH Tom Petty was about the only song I recognized other than Sweet Caroline after the win. It doesn't really matter to me though - if it's got a good beat it will get me moving even if I'm just "chair dancing". It's not music I would listen to on the radio but it gets the crowd pumped and keeps them that way. It's probably a blessing sometimes that I can't make out the words! ;)

What was the song being played when the cell phones first lit up?

So you can dance with those ten cats.
