I don't. Wearing "BEAT IOWA" across the front of the jerseys in 1977 was bad enough karma to have caused that awful 12-10 loss.
I was at that game, and some untimely fumbles and conservative playcalling by Earle Bruce was the reason we lost. The game the next year was great, 31-0, if I recall.
Tornado has been there a while- it is just visible now. All of the conference champion trophies are placed in it
I know I'll get absolutely destroyed for this, but that "Albaugh Family Plaza" sign really takes a LOT away from the whole look. Don't like it at all.
And yes.... I totally understand we wouldn't have any nice things without our huge donors, and I do thank them tremendously for what they have given to ISU, but as I've said before...... if I donated the money to build that plaza... I wouldn't want my name on it anywhere.... just have it say "Iowa State Cyclones", or "Jack Trice Stadium"... etc, etc, etc..... but do NOT put my ugly a** name on it and ruin a good thing.
Okay.... now commence the assault on me!
I believe on the parking map it shows it as "Public Will-Call & Game Day Ticket Sales"
Well it does appear to be "sit on" height while waiting for people as a meeting point; as well as "stand on" to find people in the crowd. Perhaps to finish the last beer?
There most definitely will be empties sitting all over that thing.
I doubt the Webcam will remain on. If it does you can watch on the jumbotron through the live stream.
People will crowd around it and get their group's photo taken, just like they do when you go to a national park and get your pic standing in front of the entry sign.
