Josh Cunningham

I can't see Fred backing off Josh unless he expressed to the staff that he wasn't interested. Seems like he would fit in well here and could turn out to be a quality 3/4.

Looks a lot like a skinnier, more true SF version of Melvin. I'd take this guy over a lot of talented transfers and should be treated as such. My perfect situation is to see Cunningham and Vaughn in cyclone uniforms next season.

We need another freshman in next year's class IMO. Custer is right now the only 4 year player we have and if we go JC (with or without Vaughn) we will be forced to go JC in two years to get another player in that class.

In Fred I trust but I hope he goes with another HS player next year, especially if it's Cunningham

Fred knows how to build a roster. He's doing a great job of building a good base with 4 year guys like Ejim, Niang, Naz, Thomas, Morris and Custer. Then mixing in transfers and jucos.

Relax and watch Fred work his magic, with or without Cunningham.

I agree with gocubs, another open scholarship may be enough to change things. If we end up having three, I would love to see us land him to add some young athleticism and length.

I'll add a post to the post count. Long ways to get to a thousand though. I would welcome Josh to being a Cyclone!

Great point....you would think people would trust whatever he does based on what hes already done and well....his previous job experience...

Cunningham needs to come to ISU - he'd fit our team perfectly and could spend a couple years developing under this staff and guys like McKay and Niang to really push his growth.

Can you imagine:

Niang
Hogue
Thomas
Morris
McKay
Nader
Long
Cunningham

That's a solid 8-man rotation there...even without Vaughn. I'd love it if Josh would commit in the next month or so...what has he got to lose?

Don't forget Custer

I expected we'd have 2 scholarships to work with, but I'd be fairly surprised to have 3. Don't see anyone else leaving, but it could happen.
