I think we did offer. He appeared, and still does, in our Rivals offer list. I agree that the staff is probably not that keen on him. I don't think he was ever invited for a visit; official or otherwise. We've got a ton of offers out there. Some a lot better than others.

Not all offers are committable. That's why the staff wasn't tweeting out sounds the sirens when he committed over Twitter.

I'm not the best person to ask, but I know if you commit you have to let the coaching staff know so they accept your commit. A similar thing happened with McKinley Wright in basketball.

Iowa State was slow playing him but McKinley wanted to commit. The staff offered him but he was a backup option. My guess was Ulmer was a backup option so his offer wasn't committable.
