I both love and can't wait for more posts saying he wasn't going to get much playing time...blah blah blah. This hurts and at a position ISU is not especially deep at. (Where are we deep?) I feel the roster will get better over the next couple of years...this season might just hurt though.

This is much worse than those guys, they both had a lot of potential but neither showed they could be a big 12 player game in game out (Coe barely did that), each were projects that never really developed at ISU. Harris is one of the top 2 or 3 players on the defense and plays the position at which we have the shortest depth on the entire team.

I think in this case those posts will be more limited than usual since he started 12 games last year and wasn't going to be sitting on the bench this year.
This sucks for depth but I can see him not fitting in with the new 4-2-5. He's a great fit for a 4-3.
This hurts depth obviously, but the coaches were raving about Willie Harvey, so I'm inclined to think he was getting beat out for a starting spot. Bobby McMillen may be making progress as well. We're talking about a juco who had to redshirt because he couldn't figure out the playbook. I'm going to miss his intensity and wish him the best of luck.
Bummer. Someone's going to get a one year rental on a pretty good LB. Just another reminder of how thin the roster is and how much work Campbell has to do.
He's from Mississippi; I wonder if he's good enough to play at Ole Miss or Mississippi State, or if he'll end up at a place like Southern Miss?
I think the Big 12 is less lenient (downright pissy) on transfers w/i conference.
Thats the onnly silver lining. He only had 1 year left anyway, so its not like we are losing 2-3 seasons of a starting LB.
He was in the league last year, he's come along pretty well but it was obvious that his best football was going to be played after he left ISU. He was just too much of a project. He wasn't an impact guy at ISU.
