JJeff is a !st rounder!!!!!

I think that he has really good playmaking skills as a point forward. But, he’s short for an nba 4 and he’s not an above the rim player. He’s going to have to get his outside shot up to a high % to stick long term in the league.
He's a little short but he's pretty big and strong and has a good wingspan. He plays bigger than his height.

I think the added space he will play in will help him a ton. He won’t be the primary scout. He won’t have guards constantly swiping at his dribble. He will be a mismatch for a lot of lighter wings that will have to guard him.

He also had really good range and shot most of his 3s from well behind the arc.

Learning behind a 31-year old vet (32 in the fall) like Randle is a pretty decent spot for JJeff.

Their game is quite similar, although Randle was more bouncy at 23 than Jefferson has shown

It's interesting that a team that has over $60M invested in forwards (with only 1 other player in double figure millions) picked him. I'm assuming they'll start Porter at the 4 and Randle at the 3 with JJeff primarily taking Randle's spot with the second team, but who knows. Hopefully, he can learn to improve his 3P shot from Randle as Randle wasn't anywhere near the shooter he is today while in college.
