Ah yes another weekly scolding from CW on the pod. He hates passionate fans that want information they pay for. Might be time for him to take a step back. A guy that does not seem happy in his current situation.
6th post. That's a dandy. I don't know Chris personally, or you, but I'd recommend you don't move into the advice counselor business and stick to your day job.

I suspect many of CW’s constant issues would be alleviated by simply blocking people on Twitter and making this a pay site if you want to actually post anything. I appreciate that is a significant deviation from what CW’s dream was with this website, but many of his problems would disappear in 24 hours if he did that.

CW has long looked for soapboxes to stand on, even before he became of the age to yell to get off his lawn

He’ll find a plight no matter how sheltered he becomes.

Anyway, free agency has brought a whole new aspect to college basketball. As a small market program, we’ll need to be proficient in moneyball rather than getting the best players. Spending nearly 50% of the roster salary for a single player generally isn’t that

This would suck but I thought the bag was out on him at the end of the year. Teams doubled him without thinking twice because he couldn’t kick the ball back out without turning it over. Wasn’t guarded on the perimeter because of poor shooting. That stuff makes it easier to accept.

I don't get why fans, schools and players can't just embrace the pro wrestling approach to college sports. You're making tons of money, lean into the fan sites, talk ****, be a heel, drive fan engagement, take a bigger cut, and away we go.

I'm not advocating for losers harassing players or families on social media. It's crap, and those are losers with mental health problems.

But that **** is going to happen, and it's going to be magnified with a bunch of money get thrown at a bunch of one year free agent mercenaries. It's only going to keep getting worse so lean into it.

I think we need the next Charles Oakley to come up the ranks and just want to be hated by everybody except for your own fans. I think that kind of dude would make some SERIOUS bank.

Just a post to help drive this thread to 1000. It has really slowed down since Sunday morning. CW please donate a dollar to WeWill in my name. TIA.

Do you believe that is what just happened? (I have no way of knowing.)
If so, this might be a situation in which it was the right move. Centerpiece of the team, final year of eligibility. His $ will all be available for next year.

Seems like you skipped the last several pages of this thread. It sounds like Jefferson will be a Cyclone next season. Sorry that this news will disappoint you, but it makes me happy.

So now people are upset we spent some money to keep one of, if not, our best player? First they were mad we couldn’t get a couple players and now they’re mad we used resources to keep one. I swear some of ya’ll want to look at things glass half empty at all times. I also don’t know if some are actually fans. I mean there was a guy last night who flat out say he rarely watches lol.

That’d be like me going on a Reddit thread for Game of Thrones and arguing with people but telling them I’ve only watched some of the series and read one book.
