jamaica vacation

I would advise against jamacia in general. I've been there to an all-inclusive and a non all-inclusive and neither were as good as other destinations? Are you dead set on Jamacia?

That's really sad. Where did you go? We loved it there. We've only done the tourist thing once though. Erik's been four times and I've got to go twice.

we've been to ocho rios and negril. i like to explore new cities and go to new places and jamacia just didn't give me a safe vibe. compared to the caymans, where it's totally safe, the water is potable, no one tries to screw you over, jamacia just seemed like the dirty little cousin. what's surprising is cayman islands and jamacia were the same country up until about 50 years ago but now they are worlds apart.

Holy thread revival. I have a question. I know Jamacia is 110V/60Hz but I'm not 100% sure if an adapter is required. Google tells me both the USA and Jamacia use the same two flat pin plug wall outlet. So, initially I didn't think I needed and adapter, but there's something about Jamacia's sockets not polarized so I still need an adapter?

Looking for confirmation on this from anyone who's been there. Thanks in advance.

We didn't take anything special when we went in 2019.

Same here. No issues with electronics

As long as we're on the subject of Jamaica, shout-out to the Cliff Hotel in Negril. Such an incredible place.
